EntireoPathic Medicine

Welcome to the Official Home of EntireoPathic Medicine®

Welcome to EntireopathicMedicine.com, the official home of EntireoPathic Medicine®, an interdisciplinary healthcare philosophy and educational framework founded by Professor Dr. Daniel Shane Sheibani Davidson in 1996.

EntireoPathic Medicine was defined by Professor Dr. Daniel Shane Sheibani Davidson in 1996. This philosophy proposes that optimal health cannot be fully understood by examining disease in isolation. Instead, it encourages healthcare professionals to evaluate the complete human experience, recognizing that biological, psychological, spiritual, social, environmental, lifestyle, and preventive factors interact continuously throughout life.

The term “EntireoPathic” is derived from the concept of treating the entire person, rather than focusing exclusively on isolated organs, diseases, or symptoms.

Its central philosophy is simple:

True healing begins when healthcare recognizes the whole person.

What is EntireoPathic Medicine?

EntireoPathic Medicine is a proposed interdisciplinary healthcare philosophy that integrates established knowledge from multiple medical and health sciences into a comprehensive whole-person approach to health, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, wellness, and human flourishing.

Rather than replacing conventional medicine, EntireoPathic Medicine seeks to complement it by emphasizing comprehensive patient evaluation and coordinated care across multiple dimensions of health.

The model recognizes that every patient exists within multiple interconnected systems that influence health outcomes.

These include:

* Physical Health
* Mental Health
* Emotional Health
* Spiritual Health
* Lifestyle
* Nutrition
* Exercise
* Sleep
* Family Relationships
* Community
* Culture
* Environment
* Occupational Health
* Financial Stability
* Preventive Medicine
* Personalized Healthcare
* Longevity Science
* Quality of Life
* Purpose and Meaning

The Philosophy

For generations, medicine has become increasingly specialized.

Specialization has dramatically improved healthcare.

However, specialization may also fragment patient care, where each physician focuses primarily on one organ system while broader contributing factors may receive less attention.

EntireoPathic Medicine proposes reconnecting these disciplines through a unified framework centered on the patient.

The philosophy encourages healthcare professionals to ask not only:

“What disease does this patient have?”

but also:

“What factors throughout this person’s life are influencing this disease?”

PsychoSpiritual Health

PsychoSpiritual Health

A proposed component of the EntireoPathic framework that explores how meaning, purpose, hope, values, spirituality, and existential wellbeing may influence resilience, coping, recovery, and quality of life. This complements—not replaces—evidence-based medical and mental health care.

A New Way of Thinking

EntireoPathic Medicine encourages healthcare professionals to move beyond asking:

“How do we treat disease?”

and instead ask:

* Why did this disease develop?
* Could it have been prevented?
* What biological, psychological, behavioral, environmental, or social contributors are involved?
* How can recurrence be reduced?
* How can overall wellbeing and resilience be improved?

PsychoSpiritual Medicine®

One of the concepts developed within the EntireoPathic framework is PsychoSpiritual Medicine®.

This proposed interdisciplinary field explores how spirituality, purpose, hope, compassion, forgiveness, resilience, meaning, and emotional wellbeing may influence physical and psychological health.

It does not replace religion, psychology, psychiatry, or conventional medical treatment.

Instead, it seeks to understand the potential role these human dimensions play in promoting healing and improving quality of life, while remaining compatible with evidence-based healthcare.

The Mission

The mission of EntireoPathic Medicine is to inspire a more integrated approach to healthcare by encouraging collaboration among healthcare professionals across disciplines.

Its goals include:

* Improving patient-centered care
* Promoting disease prevention
* Advancing interdisciplinary education
* Supporting evidence-informed innovation
* Encouraging compassion in medicine
* Improving quality of life
* Advancing healthy longevity
* Integrating biological, psychological, social, environmental, and spiritual perspectives into patient care where appropriate

* Clinical research
* Medical education
* Public health initiatives
* Preventive medicine
* Lifestyle medicine

About the Founder

Professor Dr. Daniel Shane Sheibani Davidson

Professor Dr. Daniel Shane Sheibani Davidson is a physician, educator, surgeon, healthcare executive, researcher, entrepreneur, and founder of the EntireoPathic Medicine® framework.

In 1996, he introduced the concept of EntireoPathic Medicine as a comprehensive vision for healthcare that seeks to integrate established medical sciences with psychological, social, lifestyle, environmental, preventive, and spiritual dimensions of health into a unified philosophy of patient-centered care.

He is also the originator of the proposed concept of PsychoSpiritual Medicine®, which examines the relationship between psychological wellbeing, spirituality, resilience, and health outcomes.

His broader vision is to advance healthcare through education, interdisciplinary collaboration, innovation, compassion, prevention, and global cooperation while promoting dignity, tolerance, and peace.
